How Do I Set Up a Calendar in GoHighLevel?
Short answer
Go to Calendars, then Calendar Settings, click + New Calendar, pick a type like Personal Booking, and set the meeting length and available hours. Connect Google or Outlook in the Connections tab, set reminders in the calendar’s Notifications tab, and use Share to copy the booking link or embed code.

| Calendar type | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Personal Booking | 1-on-1 meetings with 1 team member |
| Round Robin | The same features, shared across multiple team members |
| Event Calendar | Physical events, without Zoom or Google Meet support |
Create the calendar
- 1Go to Calendars, then Calendar Settings and click + New Calendar
- 2Choose the calendar type
- 3Name it, pick the host, check the custom URL, and set the meeting length and available hours
- 4Click Confirm
- 5Fine-tune the Availability, Booking rules, and Advanced settings sections, including buffer times
- 6Open the calendar and click Share to copy the link, create a One-Time Link, or get the Embed Code for your website
Connect Google or Outlook
In Calendar Settings, open the Connections tab and click + Add New. You can connect Google, Outlook, or iCloud, and each user connects their own account. Allow write access if you want bookings to appear in that calendar.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Linked Calendar | HighLevel bookings go to it, and its events come back into HighLevel |
| Conflict Calendar | Blocks your booking slots during events marked Busy |
| Default Sync | Outside events arrive as blocked time, with no new contacts or workflows |
| Two-Way Sync | Outside events arrive as appointments, create contacts, and can trigger workflows |
HighLevel’s sync articles cover appointments and calendar events. None of them say that tasks sync to Google Calendar.
Confirmations and reminders
Open the calendar in Calendar Settings and go to the Notifications tab. Each notification can go out by email, SMS, WhatsApp, or in-app alert to the contact, guests, users, or extra addresses you add.
- Appointment booked, as unconfirmed or confirmed
- Cancellation, which also covers no-shows and invalid bookings
- Reschedule
- Reminder, sent before the appointment at the time you set
- Follow-up, sent after the appointment
