How Do I Delete a Sub-Account in GoHighLevel?

Short answer

In Agency View, go to Sub-Accounts, open the sub-account’s 3-dot menu, choose Manage Client, then click Actions, then Delete and accept the warnings. You have 24 hours to undo it from the Sub-Accounts page, and after that the deletion is permanent.

Checked against HighLevel’s help center on . HighLevel updates its interface often, so match the labels you see on screen.

Before you delete

  • Export contacts as an admin from Contacts, then download the file from Contacts, then Bulk Actions within 30 days
  • Disconnect Twilio, Mailgun, Facebook, Google, and other integrations by hand
  • Talk with your client first, since HighLevel makes you confirm you did and have the authority to delete
  • Plan for LC Phone numbers and A2P campaigns to be deleted with no way to get them back

The sub-account’s Client Portal stops opening, and after 24 hours every contact, message, campaign, and setting in it is gone for good.

Steps

  1. 1In Agency View, click Sub-Accounts in the left menu
  2. 2Click the 3-dot menu next to the sub-account and choose Manage Client
  3. 3Click Actions in the top right and select Delete
  4. 4Read and accept each disclaimer to schedule the deletion
  5. 5To reverse it within 24 hours, click “Click here to undo” in the notice on the Sub-Accounts page

Who can delete a sub-account

Agency users need the Delete permission in the Sub-Accounts module. An agency admin can turn it on or off under Settings, then Users by editing the user and opening Roles & Permissions.

Pause it if you’re not sure

Agency admins can choose Pause Sub-Account from the same Actions menu, and HighLevel’s delete guide says a paused sub-account isn’t charged. Its workflows move to draft, clients can’t get in, and Resume Sub-account brings it back.
