How Much Does GoHighLevel Charge per Text?
Short answer
LC Phone charges $0.00747 per SMS segment in the US and Canada, for texts you send and texts you receive. The recipient’s carrier adds $0.0035 to $0.005 per sent segment, so a 1-segment text costs $0.01097 to $0.01247.

These rates match Twilio’s, with a 10% discount on US and Canada numbers, texts, and calls. Calls bill in full minutes, with any partial minute rounded up.
How segments add up
A segment holds 160 characters, so a 161-character text bills as 2 segments, and the carrier fee applies to each segment too. An emoji switches the text to Unicode, which cuts a segment to 70 characters. Hidden characters pasted from Word or Google Docs add segments as well, so paste as plain text and check the count before you send.
Extra fees for US texting
Texting from a US local number needs A2P 10DLC registration, which costs a one-time $22.50, or $64 for High Volume, plus $1.50 to $10 a month per campaign. Number Validation is part of Number Intelligence, which turns on as a bundle. Each validation check before a text costs $0.005, and the same bundle adds Spam Detection at $0.005 and Name Lookup at $0.01 on incoming US calls.
How usage is billed
Phone usage comes out of the Agency Wallet. When the balance falls below your minimum, HighLevel charges the card on file to refill it, which is why a recharge can appear before you make a single call. Review every charge under Agency View, then Settings, then Billing, then Wallet & Transactions.
Undelivered texts still cost
Once HighLevel hands a text to the carrier, you pay for it whether it arrives or not, and HighLevel doesn’t refund undelivered SMS. Only texts that fail on an internal error before that handoff are free.
