How Do I Transfer a Sub-Account to Another Agency in GoHighLevel?
Short answer
From the sub-account’s Manage Client page, choose Actions, then Transfer Sub-account and enter the receiving agency’s Relationship Number. The sub-account moves as soon as that agency approves. Contacts, funnels, and workflows go with it, but Google, Facebook, and Stripe connections have to be set up again.

Send the transfer
- 1Go to Agency Level, then Sub-Accounts and open Manage Client for the sub-account
- 2Select Actions, then Transfer Sub-account
- 3Enter the receiving agency’s Relationship Number and confirm
- 4Track the request under Sub-account Transfers, then Send, where the 3-dot menu also lets you cancel it
The receiving agency gets an email with a Review Request button, or it can approve from Sub-Accounts, then Sub-account Transfers. By default, only the Agency Owner can send or approve a transfer, and the owner can give that permission to specific Agency Admins.
What moves and what doesn’t
| Item | After the transfer |
|---|---|
| Contacts, conversations, opportunities, and history | Move with the sub-account |
| Websites, funnels, and calendars | Move, but external calendar connections are cut |
| Workflows | Move live, with contacts still enrolled |
| Google, Facebook, Instagram, and QuickBooks | Connections are deleted, so reconnect them |
| Sub-account Stripe settings | Cleared, so set up Stripe again |
| Smart lists | Don’t move |
| Domains | Re-add them |
| Users | Only Account users assigned to this sub-account alone move |
Phone numbers, A2P, email, and billing
- When both agencies use LC Phone, numbers move, eligible A2P registration stays with them, and the receiving agency pays for future usage
- With Twilio on either side, numbers don’t move on their own, and the agencies have to coordinate with Twilio
- An agency-assigned dedicated email domain is removed, while a domain the sub-account owns moves with it
- Mailgun and SMTP setups are removed, and the sub-account switches to the receiving agency’s default email provider
- Cancel active add-on subscriptions, like WordPress, WhatsApp, and dedicated IPs, before you request the transfer
Some sub-accounts can’t move
A HIPAA-enabled sub-account transfers only if the receiving agency has the HIPAA add-on. An agency’s own Agency Sub-Account can’t be transferred at all.
